Acrylic Colors

Acrylic paint is fast drying paint containing pigment suspension in acrylic polymer emulsion. Acrylic paints can be diluted with water, but become water-resistant when dry. Depending on how much the paint is diluted (with water) or modified with acrylic gels, media, or pastes, the finished acrylic painting can resemble a watercolor or an oil painting, or have its own unique characteristics not attainable with other media. The paintings which are painted with acrylic colors will dry quickly. These colors can be used directly from the tube or else we can mix this paint with water and can be used as water color. It contains balanced colors of acrylic mixture for coloring. The acrylic paints have its own characteristics and do not need any other medium. Depending on the amount of water added to it makes to resemble whether the acrylic color is a water color or oil paint. Acrylic colors can be thinned by mixing up with water. Using the acrylic retarders the evaporation of water from the acrylic paint can be slowed. An Acrlic color does not absorb any dyes or textures added to it. Most of the painters use acrylic colors to modify the appearance, flexibility, texture, hardness and other characteristics of their paintings. The range of acrylic color is greater when compared to other colors. If the content of water added to the acrylic color exceeds 30 percent then it won’t form a stable paint on the film.
